Does IIT-M provide opportunity to students to pursue BS in data science offline ie. on campus mode?

As of 30 August 2022, IIT Madras is yet to release the details of the newly expanded 4-year BS program but they have announced that all students currently enrolled in the 3-year online BSc degree program are eligible to pursue the BS degree.
The question of whether the fourth year of study can be conducted offline (i.e, on the IITM campus) is still unanswered but it is known that students are free to do an 8-month apprenticeship or project with companies or research institutes, which may well be done in-person.
Furthermore, the BSc students also organised their first cultural and technical fest, Paradox 2022, on campus from May 20, 2022 to May 22, 2022. More than 2000 students from across the country attended the event and interacted with faculty and industry professionals.
