What are the IDDD programs offered?
Asked by
IITM instituted the Interdisciplinary Dual Degree programme in 2018 to keep up with the growing demands of technology and the industry. With the IDDD, students can master the newest areas and trends in tech by getting a combined Bachelor's degree and Master's degree.
Any student with a CGPA of 8 or above at the beginning of the fifth semester can apply for IDDD Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, Complex Systems and Dynamics, Computational Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems, Data Science, Electric Vehicles, Energy Systems, Robotics, Tech MBA and Quantum Science and Technology. For a Tech MBA, a CGPA of 7.5 or above is considered.
Students from BTech or Dual Degree programs can opt for IDDD too, but it is to be noted that their BTech degree remains the parent discipline and their MTech will be in an interdisciplinary area.
