What is the Engineering Design course offered?
Asked by
Engineering design has elements of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. It’s a relatively new branch and is closely collaborative with the current-day industry. The courses are extremely practical-focused and include visualisation with computation, product design, modelling, and even art, along with traditional engineering courses like mathematics, thermodynamics and electrical engineering.
As you progress in the course, you can choose specialisations within ED including robotics, biomedical, and automotive where you’ll work on field robotics, hospital and diagnostic manufacturer collaborations, and end-to-end car design with leading auto manufacturers respectively. In your 8th semester, you’ll have a mandatory 6-month internship with leading companies in manufacturing, product design, automotive, wearable manufacturers and more.
This course is extremely versatile, has immense scope, and to be honest - is a lot of fun! To know more about the department, click here
