Should I go for CSE, EC in top Deemed university or take any branch like mechanical, civil, chemical, metallurgy etc. in NITs, IIITs?
JEE is a highly competitive exam and this exam has created a false hierarchy of branches in engineering. There is no “higher” or “lower” branch, and the suitability of the branch depends entirely on the student. It’s important to pick a branch you are interested in. Please try to go through the curricula of all the degree programs you mentioned, figure out courses that spark curiosity in you, and try to let your goals, skills, and interests dictate your choice. I can tell you that all branches at IIT Madras are great options, and if you’re interested in more than one, we also offer the option to explore with our electives, minors, and IDDD programs. Please check out them as well.
